La jeune fille se sent redevable mais tombe amoureuse du jeune assistant du Docteur. Ce sujet, un peu bateau, est traité avec tact par Delmer Daves, la splendeur des paysages et la qualité de l'interprétation -n'oublions pas Karl Marlden odieux à souhait- fait le reste pour rendre ce film attachant.
